What others say about UAA

Testimonials

UAA does a very good job at providing forums for networking, information sharing, including informing members of Platforms about upcoming webinars and other events. UAA makes good use of not only physical meetings, but Zoom meetings and an active and useful WhatsApp Group, one of the only ones I check every day. In particular, one of UAA’s strengths is that it is an “honest broker” among the diverse members of these Platforms.

If UAA promises to do something, it will make a good faith effort to make it happen if at all possible. UAA’s work offers value for money, and this should continue to be a major feature of UAA.

UAA was able to shift the mindset of the 70+ farmers we worked with in the RELAPU project to begin thinking of themselves as agribusinesses, to think in terms of themselves as a profit-making venture. By mobilizing and connecting farmers through its work on the RELAPU project, UAA made a permanent impact by enabling these farmers to be able to do a lot more on their own even after UAA’s involvement ended.

I appreciate UAA as a no-nonsense partner, honest and with a high level of transparency, and a well-intentioned commitment to having a good impact with the project. If there was the slightest change from what was expected, UAA always checked with us, and wanted to avoid mistakes. If UAA told us they were going to do something, I knew it would happen. As far as I can tell, UAA has a wonderful “reputation, I have never heard anything negative about UAA’s programs.

Locally led impact networks, such as the Uganda Agribusiness Alliance (UAA), play a critical role in strengthening agricultural ecosystems by bringing their members together to address complex systemic challenges. They are able to deliver significant impact by aligning key actors who are committed to strengthening financial systems and resources, and increasing the income generating opportunities needed to improve the lives of people living in extreme poverty in rural sub-Saharan Africa.

I managed to personally attend the training (on producing horticulture to Global G.A.P. standards) and I can strongly state that as a business Manager/owner, I also greatly benefited from it and will personally be able to use the knowledge and skills attained to support our producers. UAA’s hard work shall bear lifetime fruits within Straight Forward Ltd. We are convinced that your partnership with us shall leave a sustainable impact on us.

I’m very appreciative of your efforts for the sustainability of the Beef industry.
