Convening
We convene all forms of stakeholders and enable access to decision-makers
We consider ourselves a community, not a club. We’re all about bringing people together to form relationships and encourage business in the agriculture sector. We work with our members and partners to turn “forward thinking ideas and recommendations” into actions, by convening diverse thought leaders who have the ability to influence change in the agribusiness space and encourage them to act on these recommendations or ideas.
We have a unique ability to bring together “competitors”/ “business rivals”, to form collaborative relationships in ways that enables each of them to achieve more together, than either can accomplish alone. Through this approach, we seek to position the Ugandan agribusiness industry, to meet the demands of global competition.
We host high profile meetings that bring together the major actors in the Ugandan agribusiness industry. In this regard, we catalyse bottom-up and top-down dialogue, while continuing to build trust among agripreneurs (including farmers and farmer organisations), financiers, agribusiness investors, government, philanthropists, technical assistance providers, researchers, development institutions, civil society organisations and other agribusiness industry stakeholders. We also engage these stakeholders to: (a) cooperate/collaborate around complex situations that require multi-stakeholder approaches to generate solutions; (b) to participate in initiatives of mutual benefit.
We invest in strengthening the interactions among the agribusiness stakeholders, as a means of bolstering the voice of agribusiness, leveraging capabilities, harnessing untapped potential, generating insights into new ways of improving agribusiness production and efficiency, as well as knowledge sharing. As such, we create partnerships where our combined expertise can add value, and where our shared impact will be greater.
