Communications and MEAL Specialist

Peninah is the Communication and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation And Learning) Specialist for Uganda Agribusiness Alliance. She joined UAA in January 2022 on a full-time consultancy basis, and has provided gender inclusion, Digital communication, and MEAL services for UAA’s involvement in the Power of Voices Project in Uganda, working with horticulture exporters and the small scale farmers supplying them. She has also provided communication services for UAA’s work with the National Beef Platform and with the Uganda Horticulture Multi-Stakeholder Platform.

Peninah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, including coursework in Social work, Sociology and Gender & Development. She has 5-Years of experience working in Development Projects, basically in the areas of project writing, reporting and Gender Mainstreaming. She also holds 8-Years of experience in Digital Marketing/ Communications, basically in areas of content creation, Client Relations Management, content editing, Cross-Functional collabollation and Social media management.

Peninah is the pageant title holder for 2nd Runner up Miss Tourism Busoga 2018. She is among the first beauty queens to ever be crowned by H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni the President of Uganda. With her title, she used her platform as a Tourism Ambassador to digitally create awareness of the different Tourism sites in not only Busoga but Uganda at large.
